WSD can lead or assist in a variety of planning efforts related to stream corridor function including stream management plans, riparian and floodplain habitat or suitability assessments, sediment transport studies, hazard mitigation plans, master plans, and resiliency plans.

Our experience is in:

  • Planning for flood safety, water supply, recreation, and environmental restoration within the same process and developing projects that provide multiple benefits.

  • Understanding relationships between communities and landscapes.

  • Developing new and scientifically sound ways of examining data and management action alternatives for times when the existing tools aren’t working.
