Field + Place-based Education

We spend a lot of time outdoors and whenever we are out, we are constantly examining the natural and human processes that created the landscapes and rivers we enjoy.

If you are planning a corporate outdoor activity (board retreat, team building, fundraiser, etc.) and/or recreational excursion (float trip, hike, ski day, etc.) and would like an expert to provide an interactive educational experience to your group about how the landscape was created and how it is changing or explain things like the physics behind the rapids and holes on rivers, let us know, we’d be happy to come along! From glaciers and landslides; wind, rain, and ice; uplift and erosion; forests, meadows, and wetlands; to wolves, bears, and beavers, we can tell the story of the science as well as teach the art of observation.

We can…

  • Tell the story of our beautiful landscapes, and our place within them, to adventurers of all ages.

  • Provide interactive experiences for environmental, flood safety, or water literacy.

Reach out to learn more about how we can provide field education for you.
